Michael Marks is a very experienced and expert Paediatrician caring for children with acute and chronic clinical problems, including infections, growth problems, neurological/developmental problems, asthma and other respiratory problems, ear, nose and throat problems, behaviour and sleep issues
Michael has a gentle and holistic approach and enjoys working with children of all ages and their families.
Background and experience
Michael is a senior Paediatrician in the Department of General Medicine, Royal Children’s Hospital where he has been a staff-member since 1987. He undertook his medical degree at the University of Melbourne with postgraduate paediatric training at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Michael undertook additional clinical and research training at Children’s Hospital, Boston and the Harvard School of Public Health.
He has a strong interest in training future paediatricians and has been a member of the National Examination Panel for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians since 2004. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne.
Michael acts as the Independent Medical Advocate for the sibling bone marrow donors at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
