Background and Experience
Dr Vered Schildkraut is a paediatric and adolescent gastroenterologist. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia and accredited to perform paediatric endoscopy and capsule endoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastroenterological endoscopy.
Dr Vered Schildkraut has completed her general paediatric training in Israel (2001) and in Australia (FRACP, 2008). She started her journey in paediatric gastroenterology in 2001 and upon relocating to Australia with her family, she has completed the training program in paediatric gastroenterology at The Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s.
Dr Schildkraut works in Monash Children’s Hospital and performs endoscopic procedures at Monash and Cabrini hospitals.
Dr Schildkraut has been the consultant in the interdisciplinary Young Adult Transition Service in Southern Health in the past five years and continues to help young adults with complex disability transitioning to adult services.
Dr Schildkraut maintains a busy clinical practice and continues to help infants, children and adolescents with gastrointestinal and nutritional problems, including constipation, coeliac disease, functional gut disorders and inflammatory bowel disease.
